John Larson concentrates his practice in Estate Planning, with over seventeen years of experience serving clients in Oregon and Washington. Mr. Larson, who has served as an officer of the Oregon State Bar, is also certified in Dispute Resolution.

John Larson is a graduate of the University of Oregon (B.S. 1986) and Willamette University College of Law (J.D. 1990). Mr. Larson was an attorney/partner with a regional law firm from 1992 to 2002. He formed his own law firm in the year 2002. John is a frequent speaker on Estate Planning and Elder Law topics.

A commander in the United States Navy, Mr. Larson served in both Operations Desert Storm/Shield, Noble Eagle, and Enduring Freedom. Currently, he is the Executive Officer of his unit and with this military background he brings discipline and thorough organizational skills to the firm.

Christopher Thompson's legal practice is focused on business relationships and organizations, probate, trusts and estates, and estate and gift tax planning areas of law.

Mr. Thompson was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Pullman, Washington. He began his law career in Los Angeles, California. Wanting to utilize his business training from college and law school, he returned to Oregon to manage a family retail business for several years in the Portland, metropolitan area. His duties included all phases of both the legal and practical requirements of running a business. He returned to the full time practice of law in 1989, working with clients of moderate wealth to protect their assets and plan for the orderly transfer of assets to their families and beneficiaries. Chris is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education Courses for attorneys and paralegals. Chris is married with three grown children and two grandchildren.

Emily Aanestad

Emily Aanestad focuses her legal practice in Estate Planning and Estate Taxation. She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania (B.S. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, 2005) and The University of Oregon (J.D., 2008). She has completed externships with The US Attorney’s office, The Washington County District Attorney’s Office, and Knowledge Learning Corporation. These past positions taught Ms. Aanestad a variety of vital legal and organizational skills, which she now brings to the firm.

Ms. Aanestad was born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho where she spent most of her time skiing, hiking and biking. During high school she raced competitively in snowboarding, and today enjoys the array of winter sports offered around Oregon. Emily enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, friends, and pets.
